A player dressed up as a Nightmare
The Nightmares were a type of Exile that was featured in the Matrix Online. They there presumably acting as a type of boogeyman. One Nightmare, in particular, was Desayd. This character used to work for the Merovingian, but attempted to betray him and gain more power.
